There are some scenarios where laser hair removal cannot be preformed. Unfortunately candidates whose hair follicle is white, grey or ginger are not suitable for the treatment, as the laser cannot target the melanin within the hair follicle.
Other scenarios include:
- Pregnant women
- Sunburned or has heavy exposer to the sun 2 weeks prior to the treatment
- Fake tan
- Peeling skin
- Patients taking Accutane or similar anti-acne medications.
- Clients with light sensitive epilepsy, history of lupus or keloid scarring or type 1 diabetes.
Results may vary for each individual; we recommend a minimum of 6 – 8 sessions to see a reduction in hair growth.
An initial consultation is required to find out the clients suitability for the treatment. A small patch test is carried out to determine if the client encounters any reactions to laser treatment. Depending on the clients skin type, the first treatment may begin 24 hours after a patch test. Treatments can be carried out 4 – 8 weeks after a treatment.
